Save The Date – Radon Outcomes on Mitigation Solutions (ROOMS), Barcelona, November 24-26, 2026

The European Radon Association (ERA) can announce that the annual Radon Outcomes on Mitigation Solutions (ROOMS) conference, will this year be held in Barcelona on November 24-26. The ERA will host the conference alongside the Barcelona Association of Technical Architecture (Cateb).

ROOMS is a conference dedicated to national and international scientific community members, radon testers, diagnosticians, mitigators, educators, public stakeholders, business people and authorities and aims to exchange information on solutions to radon problems in new and existing buildings.

Objectives and Audience

ROOMS serves as a platform for the international radon community to discuss both preventive measures for new constructions and corrective actions for existing buildings. Its prime goal is to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical mitigation applications to improve public health.

Key Focus Areas

Historically, the conference has typically covered:

• Building Protection: prevention, diagnosis, and remediation techniques.
• Specific Mitigation Conditions: radon solutions for schools, public buildings, and waterworks.
• Energy Retrofits: the impact of new building techniques and energy-efficient designs on radon concentrations.
• Research & Data: sharing recent research findings on radon mitigation.
